Carolyn Meeks and her late husband, Taylor Meeks, came to Charleston in 1977 when Taylor was in the military. After retiring as a Captain in the Navy, Taylor launched his successful career in real estate, becoming the #1 agent in the Charleston Real Estate market for many years and eventually owning a Coldwell Banker franchise in Summerville, SC.
For Carolyn, after being a high school business teacher for over 20 years, the experience of teaching and owning a real estate franchise was perfect for a successful career at Johnson & Wilson. Carolyn has earned a Masters Degree in business education and a Bachelor’s from the University of Memphis, as well as the honor of “Outstanding Student in Business Education.” She grew up in the small town of Indianola, Mississippi.
Supporting the local schools, contributing to and sponsoring activities of the local SPCA and Lowcountry Rescue are several of her favorite community projects.
