Visit the life-size Sistine Chapel downtown! The traveling art exhibit “Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition” is here for its first weekend at Festival Hall at 56 Beaufain St. The show features life size Michelangelo art projections like the “Creation of Adam” and others through September 26th. Note that the exhibit is only open Thursdays through Sundays. This event is family friendly with tickets starting at $19.00. Senior, Military and family passes are available at discounted rates!
Join New Muse Concerts and the Gibbs Museum of Art for art and music this Saturday and Sunday downtown. Watch art forms converge and experience Japanese woodlock art and the delicate sound of the violin. With music from Lyndia Chernicoff and Rondalso Rolim, you are sure to leave the museum inspired. Calling all runners! The Charleston Sprint Triathlon Series at James Island County Park continues this Sunday, July 11th! This series has been awarded one of the top ten Charleston Signature Sports Events by the Charleston Metro Sports Council; it’s an event you will not want to miss. Cheer on fellow Chalrestonians in the 600-yard freshwater swim, 12-mile bike ride, and 5K flat run to take place all day!
